KRIS SAWYER & NEKOBERRY GRIF-FINN: (Hannibal, Missouri, USA)

Birthplace of one Mark Twain, Hannibal had us dreaming of making rafts to float down the Mississippi, steal apple-pies from the neighbours porch, and chase one another around in petticoats and britches, as well as other such Tom-foolery. We idled an afternoon away on the river bank with a picnic, reading and laying out in the sun. Twain, (previously Samuel Langhorne Clemens) so called because of the second marking he needed to dock at as a captain of a boat on the river, based his characters on local folk, and we were pretty excited about going around his house, and Huck's. Given the nature of our year away, and the occasional pangs of guilt we feel for having such a great time, we are particularly grateful for Mark Twain's quote:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the things you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

You like what we did with the title there? Literary genius.
